Overview:
We are seeking an Entry Level Staff Accountant to join our accounting firm team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in accounting. As an Entry Level Staff Accountant, you will assist with various financial tasks and gain valuable experience in the field.
Duties:
- Assist with Bookkeeping and Payroll
- Perform accrual accounting and maintain accurate financial records
- Support corporate finance activities, including financial analysis and reporting
- Utilize Quickbooks software to manage financial data and generate reports
- Assist with sales tax reporting
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounts
- Apply double entry bookkeeping principles to record financial transactions
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Quickbooks or similar accounting software is a plus
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
